4.17 To receive guidance by interpretation?

Sometimes there are people who look for personal guidance by means of spiritual languages with explanation, when they are alone in their ‘inner room’. We don’t find any statement or referring in the Bible, to look for or find guidance in faith in this way.
So let us be very careful with this! Because in this way there is(almost) no possibility to check the expression. Who will have to examine this expression when you are alone?
The spiritual languages are to edify our ‘inner’ faith. The explanation of it is for the construction of the Church, even so with prophesy.

You obtain guidance from God for your life by other ways …

• a) by God’s Word, which is already revealed to you;
• b) by letting yourself be guided by the Lord with your mind;
• c) by the expressions of the Holy Spirit through others in the Church meetings.

The one who trusts himself openly to the Lord in this, will clearly start to experience His guidance.
In this way you prevent, to become deceived by a mean game played by satan. Many people ended op on sideways because of this, due to this no one had been able to examine the ‘revelations’ on their accuracy.
Could God never give guidance in this way?
Of course. All good things are possible with God and all good things are possible for who believes.
This doesn’t exclude that God from his side didn’t give these expressions to us for this purpose. And it is always better, to keep yourself to the revealed way and will of God. Then you won’t end up being cheated on!
If someone is convinced to have received a revelation for himself or for others by interpretation of spiritual languages in the inner room or by prophecy in the inner room, then it is wise to let this be examined. Or you give this back into the hands of the Lord and ask Him to confirm this in the meeting of the Church.
There is a distinct reason that 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 says: “Do not put out the Spirit’s fire, do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good.” It is clear, that it is about examining the prophecies here and that you should only follow those expressions, that agree with God’s Word. That are in line with His Plan with us (see also the Foreword and Chapter 1).
