Interpretation of spiritual languages

4.15 Who should  interpret?

We don’t find instructions in the Bible about who, after the prayer in spiritual languages, has to interpret. Should it be done by the one who prays or by someone else?
In those parts where there is spoken about this for one and that for the other, it is about the incidental distribution of gifts by the Holy Spirit.
At least it is clear: someone should interpret.
Otherwise he, who speaks or prays in spiritual languages, should be quiet and speak to God in himself.
In practise it seems that both situations occur. This is good and (therefore) Biblical.

1. one speaks spiritual languages and the other explains;
2. he who speaks spiritual languages, also interprets himself.

With the first possibility we clearly see the aspect of different members of the church being spiritually tuned in on each other.
With the second possibility the emphasis is on the striving after the function of the expressions by all, so a tension won’t have to come to existence when there is no interpretation.
This is also in line with what we read in 1 Corinthians 14:13 – “For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says.”
