11.5 Illegal territory
Al these dangerous matters, although they exist and although big signs and wonders can occur, are, for our own good, not allowed for people. It shows out of God’s creation, that a connection between light and darkness can’t exist. The one disappears where the other comes to light.
Or maybe better: Where light disappears, darkness comes into existence (automatically).
In the Old Testament people could not be released from the dark powers and that is why the worshippers of idols (those who had connected themselves consciously with the demons) were eliminated from the people. There was no other way, in order to prevent people from further ‘contamination’ with darkness.
In the New testament an answer for release out of this ‘grip’ of satan is given by Jesus Christ. All who want can be released, loosened.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:20, that he doesn’t want us to become one with demons (N.I.V.:”…to be participants with demons”).
Don’t join this fatal game of the darkness. Don’t walk on the road with pitfalls and snags! He that is tangled up in it, has to go through al lot of trouble to be released from it again. Especially if you looked for it consciously and surrendered yourself to it.
But in all matters the releasing power of God’s Spirit is there. e can expel demons for we stand in this power of God and make use of his revelation.
Jesus Himself says: “In my name they will drive out demons…”(see Mark16:17).
According to the original text driving out is also: casting out, throwing out, removing.
