11.3 Heavenly princes, rulers and principalities of the darkness, evil spirits in the heavenly realms

These are qualifications, descriptions of the demons, the rulers of the darkness, the evil spirits.
We can act as if they don’t exist, maybe out of fear to get involved with it…?
The Bible speaks very clearly about the abundance of demons – not without a reason of course, but to open our eyes for the work of satan around us and in the whole world.
These powers do their work out of the spiritual world.
The entire development of our time (by the way: of all times, but especially: now!) is directed and inspired by what happens in the spiritual world. There are three ‘kingdoms’ (better: area’s of power, spheres of power):

1. the Kingdom of God, which exists out of love, peace, joy and power;
2. the kingdom of satan, which exists out of the absolute opposite of that;
3. the kingdom of death also called the valley of death

Death is also called the ‘last enemy’ (1Corinthians 15:26).

There is a big difference in ‘strategy’ between these spiritual kingdoms: God offers his good gifts to men, who can voluntarily react to that. Satan forces his bad gifts on men, whether they want it or not.  Death puts his claim on all people, who are not connected with the living God.

So it is really only about two matters concerning our lives.
We are under the (loving) authority of God. This is, as said a free choice. Do you want to be for God or do you want to be against God? Do you focus on God in your life or don’t you? So it depends on you.
Or we are under the sphere of influence of satan, which always ends in spiritual death. There isn’t always (sometimes there is) a conscious choice out of free will in this, but it is always a matter of domination, of force, of a refined manipulation.
The person that doesn’t want to voluntarily stand under the authority of God, is (therefore automatically) under the influence of satan. Of course the intensity can differ from person and situation.
God doesn’t force anyone.
Satan ‘squat’s’ every house of life that he can find (see also the verses above about the demon, who returns to ‘his’ house – Matthew 12:43-45).

Therefore, be strong in the Lord, or as it also says: find your strength in the Lord, in the power of his might. “Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11).
You can only do that when you become fulfilled with the Holy Spirit, by working with the consequences and his fruit. Follow the way of love and strive after the expressions of the Spirit!
Be fulfilled with the Spirit …!
