10.4 Ignorance
Yes, unfortunately it has to be said. After almost two thousand years of ‘Christianity’, there still is a substantial ignorance, especially concerning the aspects of the Holy Spirit and his manifestations, his revelations.
We acknowledge the works of satan in occult matters as something that is obvious. Unfortunately a lot of people so often deny the works of God, in the multitude of revelations of the Holy Spirit.
There are a number of obstacles in the routine of the work, that stop the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Maybe you can think about the following sometimes:
In the first place: baptism in the Spirit and being born again.
There are people, who keep saying, that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is actually the same as being born again.
In the book of Acts we see a couple of situations, that prove, that the baptism in the Spirit was received, directly after they had accepted Jesus through faith. Also in Ephesians 1:13 – “And you are also included in Christ when you heard…”
and…
“Having believed you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.”
First belief in Jesus, followed by the baptism in the Holy Spirit!
In the second place: ignorance about the way in which the gift of speaking in spiritual languages works.
There is not a lot that still has to be said about this. Just a short repetition.
If I have received the Holy Spirit through faith, I will have to surrender actively. The Holy Spirit will form the words while I start speaking. Therefore I will have to start using my lips and vocal cords actively.
The Bible says the following related to the students: “…and began to speak, as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts 2:4).
So you speak actively. You use your mouth actively. The Holy Spirit forms the language.
In the third place: ignorance related to a possible ‘demonic‘ language.
There comes a fear because of this, an air of distance. But there is no warning in the Bible in that direction. God gives good things to his children. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’. And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’. Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life”(Revelation 22:17).
“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the spirit whom those who believed in him were later to receive; “(from John 7:38,39).
Do you also want living, healing water to flow in your surrounding? For the wellbeing of yourself and of your nearest?
