1.4 Learning process
Do you want to start listening to what God has to say? This is not always easy. There are so many voices that loudly scream for our attention – the voice of the world surrounding us, the voice of the big liar, the voice of science that brings doubt, the voice of all kinds of ideologies and philosophies, the voice of wrong desires and so on.
But God clearly made known his Plan and purpose in this time. Just the fact that you are reading this study, proves that you are (for sure) interested in this. We can learn from Jesus how to get insight in the spiritual reality, which primarily determines our lives. In Isaiah 50:4 we can read the following prophecy about Jesus: “The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.” Jesus himself says this in John 8:28 about his learning process: “….and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.”
Obtaining life from God does not go easy. Therefore you ‘have to’, just like Jesus did, dig into the thoughts God has about you and humanity. Dig into your position and task within God’s great Plan. Dig into the power, wisdom and love that He wants to give to you. You ‘have to’ practise the tings you learn in your life so it is able to bear fruit. With saying ‘you have to’ we mean to say that it is absolutely necessary, there is just no other way. Nothing in life goes automatically! After all you need to be educated first in order to receive your certificate!
We will be renewed in our minds , as Roman 12:2 says: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Not everything that God wants us to know and experience will be recognized out of our human and natural thoughts. That is why we dedicate our hearts (our inner, spiritual being) to Him in order for our faith to grow stronger. Doubt will disappear!
